Terms and Conditions
Check-in:
Check-in time is 2:00 pm, unless a bed or beds are available at the time of arrival. Dingo Moon Lodge management and/or staff does not accept responsibility be that monetary and/or personal liability for any decision a guest or guests make, that allows them the presumption that they are entitled to a bed on the day of check-in, before check-in time at 2:00 pm, whether their belief is genuine and/or mistaken in the present and/or past (when they previously organized their travel plans).
Check-out:
Check-out time is 10:00 am precisely, otherwise you will forfeit/lose your key, linen, security and bond deposit (defined herein as any other reason, in particular, lateness of check-out after 10:00 am precisely, damage, theft and attempting to regain and gained entry without being a paid guest) deposit. If you checkout after 10:00 am you must pay for that night (day of check-out). If you intend to extend your stay with us, in other words ‘staying an extra night’ or ‘additional night’ you must pay no later than 6 pm the night before your day of check-out. In the event of failure to arrange to extend your stay the previous night or to check-out on time at 10:00 am you will incur an additional charge equivalent to the cost of one nights accommodation whether there is a bed or beds available or not. All keys, linen, towels, pillow slips/covers and/or any item not mentioned here that is the property of Dingo Moon Lodge must be returned to reception at the time of check-out or earlier – in not doing so in part or full will result in the forfeiture/loss of your deposit as defined in the above and herein of this paragraph.
Early Check-out:
Early Check-out is before 6:30 am and must be pre-arranged with staff before 8:30 pm the night before your day of check-out. Failure to pre-arrange early check-out with staff the day before will result in your forfeiture/loss of your key, linen, security and bond deposit. Dingo Moon Lodge does not accept monetary liability for any guests not informing us of their departure time other than the check-out time contained above and therein.
Late Check-in:
Late Check-in is between 8:30 pm – 6:30 am. This is made possible by guests informing us of their arrival time, after which, we will provide you with procedures to follow for either late night or early morning check-in for confirmed bookings which are paid in advance before arrival. If you are arriving in the early hours of the morning and wish to access you bed prior to normal check-in time of 2pm you should consider booking the night before.
By marking/ticking the box and/or whether in person at the reception desk or by any other booking method, accommodation is granted subject to and upon acceptance of all terms and conditions in part and below therein.
All guests must comply with any notice or warning issued verbally or posted in any area of the hostel. Failure to comply may result in immediate eviction without refund. Serious breaches will be reported to the Police. Presentation of a valid passport and/or photo identification is pre-requisite to gain accommodation. Management and/or staff may decide from time-to-time to accommodate other persons on the basis of lesser identification. However such accommodation is only granted in exceptional circumstances as judged on a case-by-case basis. Management reserves full discretion to render null and void any decision of any staff member and rescind an offer for accommodation upon any review of any aspect of guest’s stay. The Terms and Conditions above, in part and below therein represent the business policy/practices of Dingo Moon Lodge.
Guests and Their Right of Entry: Management and/or staff have full discretion to decide who to accommodate and reserves the right to refuse entry.
Guest Registration: All guests must be registered with Dingo Moon Lodge reception including any visitors/invitees. Failure to so, will result in a request to quit (leave) premises and a report to the Police.
Guests Continued:
Paying guests are permitted to stay in rooms/dorms and common areas, but not after 10am on the day of check-out. Non-paying visitors/invitees of guests are not permitted in rooms/dorms including common areas. Non-paying visitors/invitees must ask permission from management and/or staff to enter any room/dorm or common area. Visitors of guests found in rooms/dorms will be requested to quit (leave) premises which may result in a report to the Police and be required to pay for a night’s accommodation.
Groups:
Any booking for over 3 persons is considered a group booking and cannot be booked over the web. To see if you can book a group you can email us. Management reserves full discretion to render null and void the decision of any staff member and rescind an offer for accommodation upon any review of a group booking. Group bookings of 3 or more persons require 100% payment minimum 28 days prior to check-in. Any group booking cancellation within 28 days of check-in will forfeit any deposit or booking paid in full.
Cost:
Cost of accommodation may vary. Rates posted on the web-site apply as do any posted notices at the reception desk. However management and/or staff may vary prices at any time without notice or in consequence of special agreements/deals agreed with any person. Bookings with large groups, sporting groups, clubs and associations or any other individual may attract a surcharge fee. The accommodation rate may vary from the advertised standard and will be binding from the time of making a booking with management and/or staff at the time of booking. Transferring, updating and backdating are not allowed.
Discounts:
Discounts may be offered by management and/or staff for any reason deemed fit at that time of booking, discounts are strictly confidential and can only be re-negotiated with management and/or staff directly or with the same staff member who originally made the booking. Guests must not discuss their discount to any other guest. Any person who breaches confidentiality shall forfeit/lose their discount and all breaching parties shall revert to paying the standard rate. Discounts are applicable only at the time of the discount being granted for the number of guests and nights agreed upon. The discount will not apply automatically when you choose to extend your stay by additional nights and may be re-negotiated at the discretion of the management.
Cancellations and Refunds:
Please decide carefully when choosing your accommodation booking at Dingo Moon Lodge as we do not give refunds on deposits or bookings paid in part and/or in full. Where a deposit only has been paid, any cancellation within 72 hours of check-in will result in the forfeiture/loss of any deposit paid plus the charge of the first night’s accommodation; any cancellation within 24 hours of check-in will result in the forfeiture/loss of any deposit paid plus payment for the total remaining balance due. Group bookings of 3 or more persons require 100% payment minimum 28 days prior to check-in. Any group booking cancellation within 28 days of check-in will forfeit/lose any deposit or booking paid in full. Dingo Moon Lodge cannot be held responsible for a guest’s cancellation of a tour, failure to show for a tour or request for a change of date for tours booked either through Dingo Moon Lodge or independently and any refunds are subject to the terms and conditions of the Company operating the tour. Unless specified otherwise at the time of booking guests should assume that tours are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any payments paid for tour bookings are only refundable in the event a tour operator cancels that particular tour and cannot find a suitable alternative for you. Selecting any form of service that is associated with Dingo Moon Lodge and paying in part and/or in full is a fully informed decision made by a person and/or persons, whether a guest or not, will automatically negate any monetary and/or personal liability in connection to the management and/or staff of Dingo Moon Lodge.
Payment:
Accommodation must be paid strictly in advance. Do not ask for credit as it will be refused. Accommodation can only be guaranteed for the number of days already paid in advance. During peak season and other busy times it is essential that you plan for and pay for your booking well in advance. Confirmation of a reservation is not binding unless in writing (e.g. by email). Fully paid guests and new bookings will get preference over an existing guest who has not paid in advance all hostel services are to be paid in by cash, PayPal, VISA or MasterCard upon and/or before arrival.
Deposits:
We require bookings made directly with Dingo Moon Lodge either from a website, email, phone or personal enquires to be fully paid in advance to confirm the booking request. Any partly paid deposit or full payment is not refundable under any circumstances. All deposits are subject to the terms and conditions contained above and therein.
Keys:
If you lose or damage a key and/or fob you will forfeit/lose your deposit as described above therein.
Kitchen:
Guests are required to wash, wipe and put away all dishes immediately after use. Do not leave them on drip trays. Food consumption or storage is not permitted in any dormitory. Cooking is not permitted in any area other than common kitchen. Food packages must be kept sealed or refrigerated, open packets of food attract vermin and will be disposed of for health and hygiene reasons.
Towel Hire:
Towels are available for hire at $5.00 plus $5.00 deposit that is refundable upon return of towel. Loss of towel incurs $10.00 fee. Any other hired or borrowed item damaged, lost or stolen due to any reason will attract a larger charge.
Complimentary Breakfast:
Breakfast is complimentary and not a ‘right’ to consume unlimited food. The management and/or staff has the absolute and exclusive right to determine what constitutes 'reasonable consumption' and management may over-rule staff and/or a guests actions which are not consistent with ‘reasonable consumption’. Breakfast hours are strictly 7.00am – 9.30am, early check-outs or late risers are not automatically entitled to breakfast outside these hours.
Cleaning:
All rooms and dorms are cleaned daily from 9.00am. Rubbish from floors and bins are removed daily. Guests must remove their rubbish before departure and place it in rubbish bins. Guests are further requested to arrange their travel gear in an orderly fashion. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture/loss of deposit paid at check-out. Guests must not have their belongings on another bed.
Sleeping Bags:
Sleeping bags are not permitted for health & hygiene reasons. Do not use your own blankets sheets or linens. Only hostel-provided bedding is acceptable. If found your linens will be removed. Guest may be ejected.
No Smoking:
Smoking is not allowed in rooms/dorms, corridors or stairways. Smokers must not block any exit/entrance nor permit their smoke to drift into the building – no flammable liquids or explosive materials permitted anywhere within the property boundaries of Dingo Moon Lodge, this includes camp stove gas refills and cigarette lighter fluid. Dingo Moon Lodge is fitted with sensitive smoke detectors in all rooms/dorms. Reckless conduct causing alarm or fire department call shall incur a $1,000.00 fee. Intentional damage to fire equipment can lead to civil and criminal prosecution.
Cigarettes Etc:
The burning or smoking of cigarettes/candles/incense is not permitted in any enclosed space (rooms/dorms/kitchen) within Dingo Moon Lodge.
Drugs:
Illegal drugs are banned. Possession or usage of drugs is considered a serious breach of the terms and conditions and will be reported to the Police.
Alcohol:
Alcohol is allowed within the property boundaries of Dingo Moon Lodge. Management and/or staff have full discretion to withdraw the permission of guests to consume alcohol within the property boundaries of Dingo Moon Lodge at any time and without forward notice. Guests must act in a responsible and considerate manner at all times. Drunken, aggressive and disruptive behavior will result in immediate eviction. It is considered a serious breach of the terms and conditions and will be reported to the Police.
Anti-Social Behaviour:
Anti-social behaviour is unacceptable. This includes threatening or demeaning any person or any staff member. Damage to any property, graffiti, theft of any property, physical or sexual harassment, loud and rowdy noise, including music can result in police intervention and eviction, without refund.
Loss:
Management and/or staff do not accept responsibility be that monetary and/or personal liability for any loss suffered by any guest/ visitor/invitee for any possession, whether in part and/or in full. In particular, fridges and the food contained therein and/or in the kitchen per se and/or within any other part of the property boundaries of Dingo Moon Lodge. Keep money, keys and other valuables on your person at all times. Deciding to keep money, keys and other valuables on your person at all times negates Dingo Moon Lodge management and/or staff from responsibility be that monetary and/or personal liability for any loss to any guest/ visitor/invitee.
Damage:
In the event any guest/visitor/invitee on the premises cause damage to any area, fixture, fitting or furniture in the hostel the cost of repair and/or replacement will be met by those persons. Should this damage be considered a serious breach of the terms and conditions it will be reported to the Police.
Noise:
Please be considerate of other guests and keep noise to a minimum after 11p.m in common areas. In rooms/dorms we would like you to be silent and switch off the lights on request of any guest. No running within the property boundaries of Dingo Moon Lodge is allowed.
Emergency Exits:
In case of a fire please follow the emergency exit instructions located behind the door in each room.
Pets:
No animals or pets are allowed anywhere within the hostel for health and hygiene reasons.
